If you find it hard to get some shuteye time, this method will make you fall asleep in a few minutes.
Resting enough time is paramount for our wellness and if you are having trouble sleeping, this could also hinder your ability to go through the day. Try this method and fall asleep in a few minutes.
This is a breathwork practice developed from the ancient yogic tradition that helps relax body and mind and prepares you to sleep soundly.
This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system –responsible for our digest and rest mode– and it also switches off the sympathetic nervous system which triggers our stress response.
Rhythmic breathing will reduce anxiety and helps with other processes of your body like digestion and sleeping.
You can do this in the middle of the night if you wake up, during the day to reduce stress, or before going to bed to fall asleep faster. Here’s what you have to do!
1. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four seconds.
2. Hold your breath for seven seconds.
3. Exhale for eight seconds, making a “whoosh” sound through pursed lips
4. Repeat up to four times, twice per day.
