The three wellness keys for healthy aging

Healthy aging depends on each one of us. If we accept the challenge, we can make changes both from the emotional and physical levels with self-care habits.

Emotional level

Some patterns for aging well have to do with being restless, socializing, being very curious, and taking your brain to places you have never been to before, both geographically and mentally.  Be prepared to imagine things, unfollow your routines, and be willing to incorporate new thoughts.

Physical level
As for the nutritional changes you may have to consider, it is very important to reduce animal fats and, basically, refined carbohydrates, sugars, and flours, which raise insulin and cortisol, as well as lower serotonin. 

Animal fats are to be reduced gradually but not suspended, in order to keep a balanced diet

Last but not least, force yourself to move. Humans are designed to walk 2,5 to 3 miles per day at least, and, sadly, we have changed our legs for wheels: baby carriage, tricycle, bicycle, motorcycle, cars, and public transport. That´s why we have to impose our movement in a 30 to 40-minute strong and sustained walk, 3 or 4 times a week. If we can achieve these simple goals, our aging process will succeed.
