How to stop picking your skin in 3 steps

Easier said than done: don’t pick your pimples. When a breakout appears the first thing you know you shouldn’t be doing is touching it, you know the reasons, but it’s quite difficult to resist the temptation. This is how you do it!

If you still cannot fight the urge, do something different. Picking is a self-regulating behavior –it stimulates you when you feel bored and it calms us when we are overstimulated due to stress or even excitement. Changing what you do can make you focus on something different instead.

Breathwork is a powerful tool that can help your ground and reduce stress. Therefore, you’ll be less likely to pick your face.

While most of us do pick our skin from time to time, but if you notice you are doing it chronically, you have to consult a dermatologist and a therapist.
