Eating smart does not mean that you have to cook every day or else you'll end up eating pizza. There are some tips that can help you make better choices.
If you want to snack go for
single ingredients not processed foods. It could be fruit, some bell papers, carrots, eggs, nuts anything that hasn't been processed is a better choice.
If by any chance you feel like cooking, double the recipe and freeze leftovers. I find that one of the best ways to make better choices when eating.
We know that fresh food is better, but if you can't even chop some vegetables you are not very likely to cook dried beans. So keep your pantry stocked with cans that can help you eat smarter.
Keep food that you can easily carry if you have to go out. Apples, tangerines, granola bag,s and bananas are great choices if you are usually very busy. You can easily put them in your bag and snack on them on the go -and you'll avoid binging on sandwiches, potato chips or any other processed food.
