While many celebrities go for structured work-out and diet plans, the German model prefers doing a variety of unconventional low-impact exercises that she really enjoys and make her stay in shape.

Her workout routine includes hula-hooping, trampolining, and swimming 20 laps a day as fun alternatives to the gym. Heidi said in an interview with Women’s Health UK, that she is lucky to have a big house enough to accommodate her daily fitness routine during the lockdown.  

“I am fortunate enough to have a pool at home and, when the pandemic started, I began swimming 20 laps a day. Low-impact exercise like this is much better for my joints than running on a treadmill,” she said. She also mentioned that hula-hooping is a great low-impact option, too since she can work the whole body and she has the tool at home.

Heidi Klum is also the mother of 4 children and her responsibilities as a parent contribute to her healthy appearance. She wants her children to have a healthy life too, so she shares many activities with her family. 

Moreover, the current pandemic was a chance to be at home with her kids. “I have relished the opportunity to spend more time at home with my family in recent months. Being on a plane and in the studio, a lot less means I’ve been able to enjoy getting stuck into domestic tasks,” she said. “I have also been doing painting in the garden with my kids. I was determined not to lose them down the abyss of the internet. It is a goal I am shooting for with myself, too.”
