Stuck for breakfast ideas? Do not despair. A smoothie might be the right answer. Quick, healthy, and filling, smoothies have been super popular with celebrities lately. But Reese Witherspoon hasn't changed her recipe in NINE YEARS. Curious?
Reese has been having this veggie-packed drink instead of breakfast at around 10-11 am, and she says
then I'm not hungry at all until one o'clock".
The Hollywood superstar first started making the smoothie after she got the recipe from fellow actress Kerry Washington, as they sat at an award show together a long time ago and asked her:
You're skin is so beautiful, what do you do?"
Washington responds that she thought it might be this smoothie she had been drinking and that it changed her skin and made her hair and nails really strong.
After learning the recipe, Reese has stated she drinks this smoothie for breakfast every morning, between 9 and 11 am, which keeps hunger at bay until lunchtime. She makes 2 servings and keeps one in the fridge to have a snack later.
Here's Reese's super healthy smoothie!
For 2 servings
- romaine lettuce-1 head
- spinach -1/2 cup
- coconut water-1/2 cup
- 1 banana
- 1 pear
- 1 lemon
- celery (optional)
- almond oil (optional)
- Peel the lemon, banana, and chop the pear and the apple.
- Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender.
- You can add flaxseed or protein powder if you wish.
