The film "The Old Guard", based on the novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, was released. Charlize Theron had to train very hard for this movie.

Charlize Theron performed impressive fighting scenes in "The Old Guard" by Netflix. She had to train for a long time to perform her own stunts and fights.

In "The Old Guard," Theron plays an immortal warrior who has learned numerous fighting styles over the centuries to eliminate her enemies.

To play the character, Theron spent four months training with film fight coordinator Danny Hernandez, with whom she learned numerous martial arts techniques.

"I had to learn hand-to-hand combat, Akido, Judo, Karate, Iaido and HEMA, which are medieval martial arts.

The two trained three to four hours a day, he said. 

According to Hernandez, the four-hour sessions included: pushups, shuttle runs, lunges and other basic martial arts moves in front of a mirror.
