Exercising at home has become the new normal. Yet many people have found their motivation slowly disappearing as the days went by. Having a trainer and a group of people with you at a class is very motivating for some, as they feel the "pressure" to finish the workout. But what do you do when you have to exercise at home?
Follow these tips to maintain an exercise routine at home:
1. Organize your habits.
For example, you can exercise for 30 minutes before your children get up in the morning or plan a routine and exercise with them.
If your work team holds a daily conference call, set goals you want to achieve before or after the call. Sticking to a workout will eventually lead to a habit. And missing your daily dose of happy hormones will no longer be an option.
2. Find a suitable place for the exercise session
Not everyone has a separate room that can become the home gym, but consider creating a space in the cellar or garage or even your living room. Having a designated workout space will speed things up a bit.
