Train very hard
Cox focuses on variety when it comes to her workouts, especially with cardio. Once an avid runner, she now also focuses on Pilates, tennis, surfing, yoga, cycling, strength training and martial arts.
Cardio, lots of cardio!
Aim for a 75-minute cardio session (think treadmill intervals) followed by a mix of squats and lower body lunges. When you do this session, use a heart rate monitor (like Cox's) to record your intensity when you are doing cardiovascular exercise.
To begin, stand with your feet apart at hip width and, for greater intensity, use a pair of weights, holding them at shoulder height or at the sides. Bend your knees and squat, keeping your knees behind your toes. Imagine that you are pulling your butt out from behind, but be sure to keep your torso straight and contracted. Press your heels to stand up. Repeat the process for two or three sets of 12 to 16 repetitions.
Cox follows a couple of rules when it comes to her diet. She focuses on low-carb diets, drinks plenty of coconut water and avoids caffeine. This workout routine will help you stay healthy and fit!
