How you start your day is paramount to set the mood for the day. What you do the first half-hour in the morning will set up the flow for your entire day, so, naturally, if you want to have a nice day it would be a good idea to start off the day feeling at peace and excited about what’s coming.
What you do as soon as you wake up will set the mood for your day, so you have to make sure you are going to start at peace and feeling aligned. We have the chance to have a successful day or a horrible day, but you are in control of it.
1. Don’t look at your phone
If you do so, you are letting the energy of the world into your sacred space before you’ve even started your day. Get up, prepare your breakfast, listen to some music and only then check your electronics.
2. Choose to do something that makes you feel good about yourself
Identify what makes you feel excited about getting up in the morning –for example, I like to wake up thinking about my cup of coffee and the cookies I’ll have for breakfast. Maybe you like having a warm shower or listening to your favorite song.
To align yourself in the morning you can jot down how you want to feel, what you want to accomplish, what you are grateful for and practice breathing.
4. Visualize your day
When you visualize what you want to achieve, your brain actually believes and acts as if you were in that situation. So be careful what you imagine, because it can make your day perfect or quite lousy.
Picture yourself preparing your coffee and receiving exciting news, hugging someone you love, feeling strong and healthy, receiving a gift. When you take a couple of minutes to visualize what you want, you are actually attracting a new reality.
5. Let yourself be inspired
If you like reading, read a few pages of an inspirational book, if you like music, listen to music that inspires you. I have an oracle and I love choosing a card for me each day, it gives me an extra boost to get up and discover all the good things the day has in store for me.
