Your miracle nail product is hiding in your kitchen. Intrigued? What can possibly polish your nails, remove stains and cuticles and help achieve smooth heels?
The answer is baking soda. The simple ingredient is a wonder product when it comes to nail and feet care. Let's see what it can do!
Cuticles are unsightly, we all know that. Half of your manicure depends on how well-groomed the cuticles are. Removing them at home is not only possible but quite simple using simple tools. Baking soda is your ally when it comes to perfect nails. With its help, you can easily remove cuticles and have perfectly groomed hands.
Place your hands into a bowl filled with warm water. Leave in until you can see that your cuticle becomes softer. Take a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it with water until you reach a consistency of a paste. Apply on the cuticles and leave on for 30 seconds. Add a little more water and leave for 30 more seconds. Do not exceed the minute.
After the minute has passed, use an orangewood stick to carefully push the cuticle and remove the excess skin. Make sure you use a wet orange stick and soak it in water if it becomes dry.
Finalize by thoroughly washing and moisturizing your hands. Ta-da!
Smooth your nails and remove stains:
If you're into gel manicure, you may notice that the surface of your nails has tiny ridges. No worries. Combine three parts baking soda and one part water to create a gentle yet effective scrub to buff and exfoliate your nails. Just rub gently in circular motions over your fingers and nails and enjoy a smoother texture. To remove any stains, mix equal parts baking soda and equal parts water and repeat the previous massage focusing on the stained area.
We all have any rough patches on our feet. They are not great to look at, but the feeling of dry feet is even worse. Blending a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in water will create a perfect foot mask. Massage the heels with the paste to exfoliate the area. Baby soft!
Now all you have to do is enjoy your perfect hands and feet!
