Many experts claim that even though people know how important is to protect themselves from the sun, they are not translating it into a change in their behaviors. As the damage tends to be seen after many years, people just keep on neglecting their skin. Now, this is what you don’t know about SPF.
Use the right amount
If you apply too little, you won't get as much protection necessary, as It would be diluted. Just to be safe, you should apply sunscreen higher than 30-50 SPF. Aim at using 2mg of cream per square centimeters of skin –a shot glass for your body and a teaspoon for your face.
Pay attention to
Don’t spray perfume on top of it as it will spray off the sun cream and it might oxidize the product.
Vitamins will protect you against sun damage. Make sure you have your daily doses of antioxidants to ward off free radicals –the compounds that damage your skin cells. Vitamin C will protect you from UVA and UVB radiation, betacarotene transforms in vitamin A provides sun protection even after 10 weeks of consuming it.
