American media celebrity and founder of Kylie Cosmetics has been creating skincare products since 2019. We decided it was high time we tested her products to see if we would recommend them. Without further ado, we test the most hyped up Kylie Jenner skincare products to see if it really works.
Kylie Jenner’s skincare line has been in the market since May 2019 and she has continuously been adding new products to her line. We may say that the good news is that her line is cruelty-free, vegan paraben, gluten and sulfate-free. After such an amazing promise, I decided that it was a great idea to try some of her products to see if they are worth the hype. This is what I’ve found!
Kylie Skin Walnut Face Scrub
This is probably the most controversial of her products. This product uses microparticles of walnut shells to physically remove dead cells, however, an exfoliator using walnut shells should be too abrasive and can cause the skin to tear. Although Kylie said that it could be used as often as once a day, I don’t really think it is good for the skin to exfoliate more than once a week. I noticed that the texture is not as abrasive as one may think, I experienced no irritation and my face felt soft and smooth after using it. Verdict: if you use it no more than once a week, it’s up to you to take the risk of using physical scrubs.
Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner
I’m not particularly fond of toners, partly because I’ve been trying to minimize my skincare routine. But I was definitely presently surprised by its beautiful scent. It is alcohol-free, it feels quite hydrating and its texture is soothing and nourishing. Verdict: I would definitely recommend it, overall I enjoyed the whole experience.
Kylie Skin Face Moisturizer
Its texture is something in between a gel and a cream. It feels like a thick lotion. It works great for an everyday moisturizer, I just wish it was more hydrating, if you have oily skin, however, this is a great option for you.
Kylie Skin Vitamin C serum
I love serums and they are part of my beauty routine. Kylie’s Vitamin C serum is lightweight, it absorbs quickly and it is not at all sticky. But I didn’t notice a dramatic difference after using it. But the scent is a little bit… well, upsetting. It does not really have any artificial scent, it is the smell of the ingredients in it, but I just can’t stand it.
Kylie Skin Eye cream
Although the packaging is light and portable, there is nothing special about the eye cream. It is a basic eye cream at a reasonable price, it is soothing for the skin but don’t expect to be too surprised about it.
The final verdict
I enjoyed the overall experience of testing her products, but they are not too different from anything already existing in the market. If you are a fan of Kylie, you can give it a try, but if you are already happy with the products you use, I would not recommend changing your routine.
