Plop your curls with your t-shirt and get beautifully defined curls

Take care of your lovely curls with this amazing technique. Let's plop together!

Plopping is a technique that uses a cotton t-shirt to dry your curls leaving them smooth, frizz-free, and shockingly voluminous.

You plop your wet hair after you’ve applied your styling product and before you start to dry your hair. It will model your curls, helping them keep their defined shape, without tangling.

'Plopping' your hair really give you perfect curls everytime!

Follow these 5 steps:

Save a cotton t-shirt
The first step is to opt for a t-shirt or microfiber towel instead. Both methods work.

Plop your curls to say goodbye frizzy and kinky hair.

Step One:
After you get out of the shower, scrunch out excess water and apply your leave-in conditioner, gel, or stylers.

Step Two:
Lay a T-shirt out on a chair or bathroom counter with the sleeves at the end closest to you.

Step Three:
It's time to plop! Flip your wet hair over and onto the center of the T-shirt. With your head upside down, pick up and lay the bottom of the shirt over your head completely covering your hair.

Step Four:
Take the sleeves behind your head and flip it up over your neck, and twist them together to tighten behind your head in a knot.

Step Five (the final one):
If you have extra material wrap the twisted sleeves around your head and tie them in place to keep the shirt from sliding or falling off. Now you're wearing some sort of wet helmet!
