Masks can cause all kinds of irritations from prolonged use, especially on sensitive skin.
It is very important to keep the skin hydrated once we get home, apply moisturizing creams or serums that are more fluid and do not generate oily skin.
When we wear masks, areas of irritation may appear. Patients with acne may have periods of resurgence from rubbing, and when the skin is clogged, it is less likely to breathe. That's why it’s better to avoid using a lot of makeup.
This may happen as a result of:
- Lack of hygiene
Some people may consider that because they are inside or not wearing makeup, the skin doesn't need to be sanitized. The skin must be cleaned day and night.
- Lack of hydration
Being at home with a controlled environment, and without doing too much physical activity makes us not feel very thirsty, that will make the skin temperature increase and be the reason to secrete more sebum.
What should we do?
Clean your face in the morning and at night, put a few drops of micellar water on a cotton pad and slide gently without stretching the skin, then rinse.
For the day, choose a moisturizer. Remember to take a little bit of cream with a spatula or teaspoon so as not to contaminate the product.
For the night, after washing your hands, before going to sleep so that the cream does not remain on the pillow, take a bit of night cream and begin to perform muscle relaxation massages. You can also perform deep inspirations to improve oxygenation and promote relaxation of facial muscles.
