Although there are plenty of hair products on the market to choose from, you don't need to spend a ton of money on pricey masks to restore the health of your strands. The best part? These homemade hair masks utilize ingredients you most likely already have sitting in your kitchen right now.
These are very nourishing and hydrating ingredients. That’s why they become very useful when treating dry hair. You will need 2 tbsp of almond oil, 2 tbsp of olive oil, 2 tbsp of jojoba oil, and 2 tbsp of coconut oil. Mix them and warm them, but do not overheat the mixture. Apply it on your scalp, massage, and wrap with a towel. Rinse with shampoo after 30 minutes.
Honey & vegetable oil
If you want to condition and nourish your hair, this is a good option to take into account. You just need to mix 2 tbsp of honey and two of vegetable oil. Apply it to your scalp and wrap it with a plastic cap. Rinse with shampoo after 15 minutes.
Rice Milk & Honey
Getting shiny hair is not impossible. Use rice milk and honey to nourish your hair and replenish the nutrients that are missing. You just need a cup of rice milk and 2 tbsp of honey. Mix them well, and spread the mixture on your hair. Leave it for 10 minutes and rinse.
Protein hair mask: Strawberries + Egg Yolk + Olive Oil
The antioxidants in strawberries add moisture and shine to your hair, while the egg yolk contains protein to strengthen the strands. Puree 1 cup of strawberries in a blender and add one egg yolk and 3 tbsp of olive oil. Mix until well combined. Work into your hair, cover with a plastic shower cap or a plastic bag or plastic wrap. Leave in for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out with cool water. Use your favorite conditioner directly after rinsing and leave it in for 5 minutes. Rinse the conditioner out and then shampoo/condition your hair.
Moisturizing avocado + banana + coconut oil mask
The potassium and natural oils in bananas soften the hair and protect the elasticity to prevent split ends and breakage. Combine 1 ripe banana, 1 ripe avocado, and 2 tbsp. coconut oil until they are perfectly blended together. Spread the mixture over your hair and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Thoroughly rinse out with your regular shampoo and conditioner.
Softening pumpkin and coconut oil mask
This simple two-ingredient mask will work wonders in your hair. In a medium bowl, blend 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree and 1/4 cup of coconut oil with an electric beater until the mixture is creamy. When your hair is damp, apply the combo to your scalp, and then cover with a shower cap for 20 around minutes. Rinse out the mask, then shampoo and conditioner as normal.
