Isn’t it satisfying when you notice that your skincare product is actually working? Well, in order to get the most of your skincare products it is important to stick to a routine with defined steps
Today we explain the products you should use in a basic morning routine and the correct order to use them so you can enjoy all their benefits.
Morning skincare routine
For a morning routine, you should first use a cleanser, then antioxidant serum, moisturizer, and finally sunscreen.
Step 1: The cleanser
The cleanser eliminates dirt, sebum, oil, and dead skin cells, and if you include it in your morning skincare routine it also can remove toxins your skin eliminates during the night. This product creates a fresh base for other products to then be applied. Be sure you use the appropriate cleanser according to your skin type: your oily skin can benefit from foaming cleansers, and for your dry, sensitive skin you should opt for a cream cleanser.
Step 2: Serum
Once you finish cleansing, apply a few drops of antioxidant serum and a good option is a serum with vitamin C. There are not many studies that establish an order of products but a general rule is to go from “thinnest to thickest” to aid absorption.
Step 3: Moisturiser
Those with normal, sensitive, or dry skin types, can benefit from a moisturizer to smooth the appearance of the skin.
Step 4: Sunscreen
The last step is the sunscreen. It is advisable to use an SPF 30-50 with UVA and UVB protection. If you have oily skin you should skip moisturizer and apply the sunscreen directly after their antioxidant serum.
