1. Protect your hair
If you coloring, blow-drying, styling and other treatments can cause you to lose some of the protein that makes up your hair’s cortex, the thickest layer of your hair. 

2. Moisturize
Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft, it may also help protect your hair from drying out.

3. Leave-in Conditioner
Hydrate dry hair by using coconut oil as a leave-in conditioner. It can be applied to define your curls.

Coconut oil and honey hair mask

What do you need?
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw honey

Recipe: Mix the coconut oil and honey into a saucepan and heat until smooth. Let them cool down. Wet your hair, and apply the mixture and let the mask act for 30 minutes, then rinse out with lukewarm water, shampoo and conditioner. 

Coconut oil penetrates well on wet hair.

Coconut oil and apple cider vinegar mask

What do you need?
2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Recipe: Heat the coconut oil until it's melted. Then mix it with the apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Wet your hair, and apply the mixture in sections, covering from root to tip. Let the mask act for 20 minutes, then rinse out. 

You want the coconut oil to be warm to open the hair cuticles.

Coconut oil and lemon juice mask

What do you need?
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe: Melt the coconut oil with lemon juice. Apply the mixture to dry hair and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse out with water.
