Antioxidant aloe vera ice-cubes: glowing skin with an easy homemade remedy

Summer days may give us the much-needed dose of sunshine, but our skin reacts differently. Sun, humidity, and the occasional glass of white wine are not great friends of skin, often resulting in a puffy morning face.

Luckily, there is a remedy. And you can make it yourself!

Aloe Vera has long been known for its refreshing, de-puffing, antioxidant, and calming benefits. And nothing tops an ice cube to tone the skin and close open pores. But what if you could combine the two?

Yes, aloe vera ice-cubes are a thing.

Aloe Vera ice cubes

To make your own you will need an aloe vera leaf, a grater, and an ice-cube tray.

Just carefully slice the aloe leaf, and grate the insides to extract the gel. Pour the gel into the ice-cube tray and freeze for a could of hours. You can use the surplus gel as a face mask.

Aloe Vera has multiple benefits

You can use these cubes to massage the face and neck for a much-needed TLC in the mornings. Remember to use a muslin cloth to prevent the ice cube from "burning the skin", unless you are used to the cold treatment.
