5 incredible uses of vinegar that will surprise you

Vinegar is the ultimate multipurpose product. Used in everything from skincare to cleaning, this awesome product is a must-have, especially when you consider how much you can get for your money.

When you think of vinegar, the first thing you think of is a salad dressing. But vinegar has many other incredible uses and benefits, in and out of the kitchen, from replacing expensive cleaning products to being part of your beauty routine. Here are some surprising uses of vinegar.

1. Keep cut flowers fresh

Fresh flowers will last longer if you add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of sugar to the water in a large vase. Trim the stems and change the water when it gets cloudy and the blooms will last longer!

2. Hair rinse

Vinegar removes shampoo buildup

Remove shampoo and styling products buildup after every 3/4 washes,  by rinsing your hair with a vinegar solution. Just mix 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar (apple cider vinegar, ideally) with 1 cup of water for silky shiny hair. You don't need to rinse afterward. Adjust the proportions as required for your hair type.

3. Remove deodorant stains

White and lightly-colored clothes may get annoying yellow stains left from deodorant. Rub the area with white distilled vinegar, and then wash as usual. If the stain remains after washing, do not machine dry. Treat the area with vinegar again and place the garment in the sun to bleach.
