We all love a bright, lively and healthy look. So grab your makeup bag and be ready to learn some tricks to get the perfect sparkling eyes!
From a bold liner to mascara or the right concealer, add a few simple tweaks to your daily makeup and you will emphasize your look and make your eyes appear a whole lot bigger.
1. Prep your skin and conceal
The first step for any eye makeup to look flawless is for you to hydrate yours under eyes and upper lids. You can even apply some adhesive eye pads to reduce inflammation and relax your eyes. Then dab a silicone-based primer to soften lines around your eyes.
Once you’ve moisturized and primed your skin, it’s time to apply concealer –use a shade later and warmer than your skin tone and buff it with a sponge to make it super smooth. Dark circles can make your eyes smaller –when you even out the skin around your eyes, you’ll draw attention to your lashes and your eyes will look two times bigger.
Apply liquid liner to frame your eyes –only to your upper lash and make it as thin as you can close to the line of your upper lashes. With a pencil liner draw a line from the center of the lash line out and make it thicker on the outer corner –this will give you the perfect almond-shaped eyes. You can try smudging any hash line.
Another key factor is to curl your lashes, you can use a lash curler if you own one, or you can use a spoon –yes! A spoon. It only takes 30 seconds to curl your lashes, but it makes the world of difference.
To create wide eyes, it is paramount to coat at least once –or two times– your upper and lower lashes with your favorite mascara.
Never fill your waterline with a dark liner as it will make your eyes shrink, choose a white or light eye pencil to brighten your look.
Dab some highlighter on the center of your lids, underneath your brow bones and on your inner corners to lift them and give them an extra sparkling appearance.
5. Make sure to define your crease
Use a darker shade -or even a liner, it is super trendy this 2021- on your crease to define it and open up your eyes –form an arc from the outer corner to the center of your eyes.
