Freckles are light brown spots on your skin that make your face look pretty. But you have to take care of them in summer. Let's see!
What does it mean to have freckles on your skin? You have active melanin cells in the skin and is a genetic condition. Freckling occurs due to exposure to heat and sun.
How to protect freckles?
1. Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
Sunscreen helps prevent new freckles and protect the ones you have. Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going outdoors. Reapply sunscreen every two hours, and immediately after swimming or even when it’s cloudy.
2. Vitamin C serum
If you invest in any skincare ingredient in the summer, there'll be vitamin C serum. It can help suppress melanin cells to keep freckles in check when combined with SPF, double your sun protection.
3. Soft exfoliation
Exfoliation can be done with acids or homemade scrubs. This treatment makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, so hydrate your skin after this.
