Preparing porridge is very simple, it consists of cooking the oat flakes with water or milk and accompanying it with honey, fresh fruits, other cereals or legumes. To start your day full of energy.
1.Porridge with honey and coconut milk
What do you need?
- 1 glass of water (250 ml)
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk (50 ml)
- 5 tablespoons of oat flakes (50 g)
- 2 tablespoons and a half of honey (25 g)
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of cinnamon
Recipe: In a bowl, pour the water, add the oats, coconut milk, salt, and cinnamon. Stir well with a spoon and let it rest overnight in the fridge. The next day, top with honey. It can be eaten hot or cold.
2.Porridge with yogurt and apple
What do you need?
- 1 apple
- Honey (to taste)
- Yogurt (to taste)
- 1 small orange
- 1 glass of water (250 ml)
- 1 pinch of oat bran
- 5 tablespoons of oat flakes (50 g)
Recipe: In a pot, place the water, the oatmeal, and the apple (grated or chopped into small pieces). Cook and stir until thickened. Let cool and add the honey and oat bran. Add the peeled orange pieces. Then add the yogurt and mix everything well.
3. Porridge with cinnamon and fruits
What do you need?
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Lemon zest
- 1 glass of milk (250 ml)
- Cinnamon powder (to taste)
- Vanilla essence (to taste)
- 4 tablespoons of oat flakes (40 g)
- 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar (5 g)
- Strawberries, raisins, chopped almonds (to taste)
Recipe: Cook the milk with lemon zest and cinnamon. Before it boils add the oatmeal and vanilla essence. Stir for 5 minutes.
When it thickens, add the sugar, stirring another 5 minutes. Let it cool. In a bowl, place the raisins, almonds, strawberries, and finally, add the oats. Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
