I confess I'm a sinner. I'm the kind of person that likes to go everywhere using just a little bit of makeup. A little bit of concealer, lipstick, and mascara, is that so bad?

 I've heard many times that putting on makeup while you are working out might not be such a good idea. But, why? Is it really that bad to wear makeup if you exercise?

In short, yes, yes it is. Working out with a full face of makeup can make your skin breakout and it can really wreak havoc on your skin. 

What you should do instead

Step 1: Wash your face

Get rid of all makeup remains, and debris sitting on your face. The mixture of sweat and dirt is the perfect environment for acne-causing bacteria to thrive and ruin your complexion. 

Step 2: Moisturize

There is this widespread belief that moisturizing your skin makes you sweat more, well, if you want your face to remain supple, moisturize even if you are going to the gym.

Step 3: Sunscreen

As usual, you can't leave home without putting on some SPF, yes, even if you are going to the gym. Remember that SPF is your best anti-aging product.
