Did you know you can shift the energy of your home by taking a few steps and spending virtually no money? See how you can cleanse, protect and decorate your home so you feel like you are living in a fairy tale.
For your home to be sacred, you have to prepare your home for a divine connection. What if you could enter your home and feel the positive energy flow, a relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant place to look at? You can infuse your home with lots of magickal intentions with these simple tips!
How to protect your home
One of the main functions of a home is to protect us from the outside world, they also provide privacy and comfort. To spiritually protect it, you have to cleanse the energy of your home. This ritual should be done at least once a month –I do it every week after thoroughly cleaning my apartment.
There are several ways you can choose to spiritually cleanse your home to remove negative energy that could have invaded or built up. My favorite way is smudging. If you have never done it here is a beginner’s guide to smoke-cleansing rituals. There are also purifying sprays, you can cleanse with sounds (vibrational music, nature sounds, wind chimes), or using a little bit of vinegar to mop the floor.
Create a magickal barrier
After you’ve finished your cleansing ritual, you have to bless all openings of your house: doorways, windows, chimneys and exhausts. Take a bit of olive oil, essential oil or moon water in your fingertips and draw a protective symbol on all openings: a pentacle, triquetra, rune, or anything that represents protection for you.
Protective elements you can place at home
Place crystals or protective charms on doors, windows or under your bed: you can make your own with a small pouch with herbs and objects that you like. Pant some protective plants such as rosemary, oak or roses at home.
Add decorations that are related to the elements: try candles, windchimes, dreamcatchers, crystals and houseplants wherever you feel it’s right –remember that spells have to feel right for you, and you can make whatever you want work.
Set an altar
You can use a tabletop surface as a shelf or bookcase and prepare to decorate your altar. The four elements need to be present in it: earth, air, fire and water. You can use a stone to represent earth, incense burners, and candles –candles represent air, as t
hey feed of oxygen, earth as they are grounded by its wick and water as the wax liquefies and eventually evaporates.
You need to make your own rituals and decorations always go for handmade, sustainable objects because they are energetically more positive.
