Thor Björnsson, follows a caloric diet to not lose muscle and maintain his recognition as one of the strongest men in the world.
Thor Björnsson, known for playing Ser Gregor Clegane 'The Mountain' in the Game of Thrones series, maintains a demanding training routine that he complements with a powerful calorie diet.
"It's not just about training. There are other related factors such as resting well and eating well. If you don't eat, you don't develop. The most important changes I've had to make in my preparation have been to put aside my cardio debris and increase my food intake. It is also something very constant: I must eat every two hours, about 6 or 8 times a day, so as not to lose muscle mass. It's not easy.
Thor Björnsson is 31 years old and remains healthy, strong, and enthusiastic about training every day. In 2018 he was named the strongest man in the world.
"Sometimes I go in the morning and also do stretching or cardiovascular exercises. When people ask me, I don't know what to say to my routine because I always change it. If you always train the same way, your body gets used to it and you stop seeing results after a few weeks. You get stuck.
For the Icelander, food is very important, so when he wakes up every day he eats 6 to 8 eggs, then he lets two hours go by and drinks a shake with 200 grams of oats, strawberries, banana, protein powder, and peanut butter.
Around lunchtime, Björnsson eats a protein-based meal with sweet potatoes and vegetables such as broccoli and spinach.
Then it's training time, and the renowned actor drinks a prosthetics shake during training, and after his routine, he eats meat with rice or potatoes and vegetables.
Finally, at dinner time, Thor Björnsson prefers more vegetables to stay healthy and strong.
Björnsson concentrates on gaining strength and not muscle volume. Today he looks strong, healthy, and, as always, happy.
