Bulletproof coffee is a trademarked recipe created by Dave Asprey and uses specific types of coffee and butter. The regular DIY version is referred to as butter coffee.
Promoters recommend consuming butter coffee instead of your regular breakfast. The argument is that if you start the day with a bowl of cereal, granola, bread, or any high-carb breakfast, there will be spikes in your blood sugar. You'll have energy almost immediately, but by mid-morning, your blood sugar level will drop and you'll start to feel tired, distracted, and probably hungry. The secret of this famous recipe is the mixture of butter, MCT oil and coffee. Yes, butter!

Satiety. This is its main benefit. Its caloric content will make you not need, or want, to eat anything until several hours later.
