Easy and delicious Vegan pad thai

This Thai dish was created in the middle of the last century and although it is not that old, it became popular all over the world. The secret is in the flavor of its sauce, which has a very characteristic taste. The original recipe uses chicken, meat, and eggs, but from Koko news, we have changed the ingredients a bit to have an exquisite vegan option. This recipe will give you two servings, so if you invite more people to eat, mind the amounts.

You will need:

Ingredients for the sauce:


  1. In a pan cook, the tofu cut into small pieces, over medium heat for 3 minutes until golden. 
  2. Repeat the same step with the raw peanuts, try not to add oil, and cook them over medium heat to avoid burning. 
  3. Cook the noodles in a pot as directed by the package directions.
  4.  Sauté the vegetables cut into small pieces in the same pan that you cooked the tofu. You can grate the carrot if you wish. 
  5. Once the noodles are cooked, add them to the pan with the tofu and vegetables. Add the sauce.

Steps for the sauce:

  1. Chop the two garlic cloves and fry them in the same pan where you cooked the tofu. 
  2. Add little by little, the vinegar, the soy sauce, and the other liquid ingredients. Do not forget to also add the cabbages. 
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat for a few minutes and add it to the pan where the noodles are with the vegetables.
