Why is almond oil so good for your hair?

You’ve probably heard that almond oil is great for your skin or nails. Now, why is almond oil so good for your hair?

Almond oil is made by pressing the nuts and refining the oil extracted out of them.

This is an article that explores the benefits of almond oil for your hair, we already know that the benefits for your skin are many: it moisturizes, helps with irritation, prevents stretch marks, and reduces dark circles. But, why is almond oil so good for your hair? Does it have similar benefits for your scalp?

Since I was a child I grew up listening to my grandma recommending almond oil for my hair, it is not exactly new –but it has had its revival recently. Almond oil is made by pressing the nuts and refining the oil extracted out of them.

It is very nourishing and moisturizing but it is lightweight in texture, thus it does not leave your hair, well, oily. It is extremely rich in omega fatty acids, squalene, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. It helps ward off free radicals and is usually used as a carrier oil because it increases the permeability of other components.

It is perfect for dry, damaged hair and it is great to smooth hair texture. Due to its hydrating effects, it helps protect the hair from styling with heat and the environment.

When applied to the scalp, it fights inflammatory conditions such as dandruff, and because of this vitamin B7 content, it thickens your hair and promotes hair growth.

As it is lightweight, it can be used for any hair type!
