In-shower body lotions are quite promising, they are supposed to save time and moisturize your skin, but do they really work?

In-shower body lotions: How do they work?

In-shower body lotions: How do they work?

In-shower body lotions are moisturizers that are applied to the skin, well, in the shower. They are activated by water, allowing the skin to absorb ingredients before rinsing it off. It should be the last step in your shower routine, and that is the key. A regular lotion used in the shower will wash off without being absorbed.

In-shower lotions work if you follow these tips

Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.

You should never shower with boiling hot water, opt for lukewarm water so you don't strip away all your natural oils. It is important to keep your skin exfoliated because if your pores are clogged with dead skin cells, the lotion won't be absorbed.

After you've exfoliated, washed your skin with your shower gel of choice, and you are about to finish, apply the in-shower lotion, and massage it onto your skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat it dry.

It is important to use this lotion every day to reap its benefits!
