Knowing what your skin type is should be a must before embarking on any skincare routine, but is it so easy to determine it?
The truth is that determining your skin type is not as easy as it might seem –or at least for me. But the good thing is that there are some tips to determine what your skin type is.
Skincare is not a one-size-fits-all at all, you should only go for those products that target your type of skin. this is how to do it.
It doesn’t seem oily, either dry. It has a smooth texture and you see fine pores.
Dry skin is easily irritated and you can even notice some flaking or peeling. Steer away from harsh or irritating ingredients, but moisturize and cleanse your skin.
The appearance of oily skin is shiny and the pores tend to look larger and it tends to present breakouts. You should aim for a cleanser that unclogs and balances your skin.
Combination skin is typically oily in the T-zone but dry in the cheek area and it is possible to experience breakouts.
Sensitive skin typically becomes irritated, dry, and red. So make sure your cleanser is effective, yet very gently.
Mature skin presents fine lines and wrinkles, skin tends to look more fragile and the skin tone is not even.
When in doubt, ask an expert about it.
