3 Tips to get rid of stubborn whiteheads

Whiteheads are just as annoying as blackheads, on top of that they are harder to get rid of.

Comedonal acne is said to be the mildest form of acne.

Out of all the types of acne, whiteheads are a type of comedonal acne that is quite difficult to remove. Apart from the rule of thumb: “thou shalt not pop any pimple,” and consulting a dermatologist, there are some things you can do to get rid of whiteheads

Tip 1: Exfoliate

Blackheads are open comedones that get their color by oxidization and dirt. As whiteheads are nothing but closed comedones, that is to say, the follicle is completely blocked by dead skin, sebum, and bacteria, and they look white, you should exfoliate your skin to let the debris and excess oil out.

Tip 2: Use retinol

Retinol is also a powerful ingredient to get rid of oils and excess sebum. The results are not immediate, but if you give it time, you can eventually reduce the appearance of whiteheads.

Tip 3: Moisturize

Just because your skin is oily does not mean that you shouldn't moisturize, actually, keeping your skin moisturized will balance the oils on your skin and make it less prone to produce excess oil.
