Jennifer Aniston urges people to "wear a damn face mask"

The question on whether or not to wear face masks amid COVID-19 pandemic has caused a global debate, But Jennifer Aniston knows exactly which side she's on.

The Morning Show star posted a photo of herself wearing a face mask and urged her followers to do the same.

"I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down... jobs are being lost... health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough." she wrote.

The debate on whether face masks offer enough protection has been on front pages recently with the WHO advice changing just weeks ago.

"I really do believe in the basic goodness of people so I know we can all do this. BUT still, there are many people in our country refusing to take the necessary steps to flatten the curve and keep each other safe. People seem worried about their “rights being taken away” by being asked to wear a mask." the actress continued.

She also said she feels like the recommendation is being politicized at the expense of people's health and lives and should not be a debate at all.

If you care about human life, please... just #wearadamnmask and encourage those around you to do the same - added Aniston

The WHO still recommends that healthy people not wear face masks unless exposed to someone with the virus, although many experts insist upon face masks as the numbers of asymptomatic carriers are still unclear.
