Going completely green: Biodegradable Pregnancy test

Can you flush a pregnancy test? Well, in the past it was unimaginable, but now you can! A new flushable and biodegradable pregnancy test has been invented and we couldn’t be happier.

We could think of many reasons why a biodegradable, flushable pregnancy test is a great invention. First of all, it is ultra-sustainable, and second, we might understand why you wouldn’t want to toss a pregnancy test in the trash. Taking a pregnancy test is an extremely private acct and it leaving it where someone might see it could feel uncomfortable.

Fortunately, now a new test that will not end up in the landfills has been developed: the first flushable and compostable pregnancy test. Did you know that two million pounds of plastic pregnancy tests are thrown away in landfills every year? These tests can degrade into the soil in only 10 weeks, and although some may think a paper test should not be reliable, they are 99% accurate and once they become available they will cost around $15.
