At her best: Katy Perry explains how she managed to overcome adversities

Sometimes celebrities are submerged in many difficulties. Katy Perry told CBC's SiriusXM show that she felt bad in 2017, but her positive mentality helped her overcome all the bad.

Katy Perry is pregnant with her first child and has plans to marry Orlando Bloom. However, the singer revealed that 2017 was the saddest year of her life.

Katy Perry said she felt very bad after ending her relationship with her now fiancé.

"I had broken up with my boyfriend, who is now the future father of my baby. And I was excited to fly high on my next album. But I didn't fly high, I crashed. My career was going up and up, then came the change, which was not as great as seen from the outside, but for me it was an earthquake.

In that tough moment, Perry decided to hold on to his faith and think positive was the key to leaving the bad behind.

"My hope is that something bigger than me created me for a purpose and created me for a reason, and that I am not disposable. Gratitude is probably what saved my life, because otherwise I would have wallowed in my own sadness and probably jumped. But I found ways to be grateful. If things get too hard, I say, 'I'm grateful, I'm grateful!

Katy Perry today remembers a bad situation as an anecdote, but her coping mentality sets an example for many people.
