There is a whole world of recipes you can make in a crockpot. Here are 3 recipes which you can begin with.

The Crock-Pot was the first electric slow cooker to be commercialized and has become, in its own right, a synonym of slow cooking. Slow cooking at a low-temperature guarantees results that are difficult to achieve with other cooking methods, allowing the flavor, texture, and aroma of food to be enhanced, as in traditional cooking, and also saving time and money.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of figs
  • 500 g of sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick or star anise or 1vanilla bean (optional)

How to:

  1. Wash the figs and remove the stem. Chop them up and put them in the crockpot bowl along with the sugar and cinnamon (or vanilla or anise).
  2. Cook for 4 hours on HIGH. Grind without removing from the container and being careful not to splash. Check the thickness point of the jam. If it is still not the desired consistency, cook for a longer time, this time with the container uncovered until it is thick.
  3. Pack the jam in glass containers with hermetic closure, cleaned and sterilized.
