Koko's Coffee week: The multiple benefits and many uses of coffee

The first of October is the international coffee day and but, at Koko News coffee week is all year round and we celebrate it in April as well! In this article, we review all the benefits of this popular drink and two different ways of using it that you will love!

Approximately 3 billion cups of coffee are consumed every single day. So much that in recent years, the consumption of coffee worldwide has doubled. As many people may know, it has a lot of benefits to our health:

Coffee and its health benefits are as strong as the dark roast it has!

  • It promotes a better concentration
  • Coffee drinkers are less likely to develop Parkinson's disease
  • It is an excellent source of antioxidants
  • It increases energy levels
  • When you consume it, dopamine levels increase and brain activity is accelerated
  • It is the only natural substance that helps burn fat
  • It helps to prevent certain diseases

If you are a coffee lover, this recipe is for you! It's ideal when you have a sweet craving. Give a try to this cozy coffee during the fall

  1. Heat one cup of almond milk with a caramel sauce of your choice. (Oven must be at medium)
  2. Add one tablespoon of brown sugar.
  3. Heat the ingredients for five minutes or until it gets a little bit foamy. Whisk from time to time.
  4. Into a mug with hot, strong coffee, pour the milk you have just heated.
  5. If you want, you can top with whipped cream and add extra caramel sauce

3. Coffee scrub: Get glowing skin with coffee!

To make this effective scrub, you will need just a few ingredients: (all in equal parts)


  • 1/2  cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of melted virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of regular ground coffee
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar


  1. To begin, put all the dry ingredients into a jar and mix everything.
  2. Then, add the melted coconut oil and gently whisk until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Once you take a shower, and your body is still wet, apply this scrub all over your body, from feet to face.
  4. Rinse off the scrub once you have finished with warm water. See the results?
